joomlify {we} make stuff joomla..

mojoBlog:Installation

Step 1. Download the latest mojoBlog Component

Download the latest flavor of mojoBlog from from our downloads area. As of this post it’s com_mojoRC0.16. If you want modules that emulate WordPress sidebar items (like categories, latest posts, latest comments, admin login, etc..) you can find a nice assortment of mojo-specific modules and a great search plugin there or, on zerolight’s website.

Step 2. Select Installers/Components

Go to your Joomla! website and log in to your administration backend. e.g. http://www.yoursite.com/administrator/ Select your installers/components menu *(top menu, far right) - Browse your desktop and find the zipped com_mojoRC0.16 file.

Step 3. Find and Upload/Install press the “Upload file and Install” button. If mojoBlog installs with no errors, you should see a confirmation screen.

Your new mojoBlog component is now live and functional. During the installation process mojoBlog added a new menu item mojoBlog in your “mainmenu”, for the public side of your Joomla! website. To get to your mojoBlog tools from Joomla!’s administration area, look up at your admin menu, under COMPONENTS and you should see a menu-item mojoBlog.

Step 4: Verify Installation: Component

To verify everything works, point your browser to your joomla! website by selecting from your administration menu (top left) SITE/PREVIEW/IN A NEW WINDOW. This will open a new view of your website (public view). If you have mainmenu enabled (default in many templates) you should see your new mojoBlog menu item (*unless you changed the name) .

Congrats! You’ve successfully installed the basic requirements that integrate one of our Open Source communities best blog/journaling applications (WordPress) with one of the most popular Content Management Applications available, Joomla!.
