Installing WordPress (2.2<-) Plugins
Find and download a wordpress plugin you’d like to try. It’ll be in some form of a zip (archive) so, you’ll need to uncompress it. Once uncompressed you’ll need to “read the readme.txt” that usually comes with or, follow the specific instructions from the author of the plugin you just got.
Most often, the process is:
- Upload the plugin folder to: yourjoomlasite/components/com_mojo/wp-content/plugins/
- Login to the admin of your joomla site.
- Select mojo from your components menu.
- Select “plugins” menu from your mojoDashboard menu.
- Scroll down to the new plugin listed and “tick” the activate check box.
- Go to the public side of your site and see -IF- it works.
Many plugins work with mojo, `specially ones geared more towards the pre 2.2 ver of WP. If it works, cool.. If it doesn’t and all heck breaks loose with your site just go back to your plugins page and “tick” deactivate. Remember to delete the plugin/folder if you aren’t gonna use it.
