Geek rant, now off… I’m currently the sole developer of mojoBlog. That’s not to say I was the original dev nor, part of the collective genius behind WordPress *(the poetry-engine behind mojo.)
Marko Schmuck initially developed com_jd-wp *(a blog component for joomla) which became my inspiration for mojoBlog. Marko’s moved on to bigger and better things (boat drinks to you brother..) but passed down, gave his blessings on my taking up the development where he left off.
The original inspiration for both mojoBlog and jd-wp however comes from the ancestral roots of another brilliant piece of Open Source called WordPress. Marko initially ported it to joomla as jd-wp, and I’m humbly trying to bring the legacy code up to date with a few tweaks to make mojo a good alternative authoring tool for joomla and a8e.
In addition to developing mojoBlog I write user documentation and contribute *(as much as possible) to a few Open Source projects and have recently taken up the head bottle washer position over at a8e.org (home for the semantic, table-less version of joomla).
On a more personal note, I’m 50, happily married to my best friend, proud parent/Uncle to a geeky 11 year old (who consistently kicks my ass in Halo), currently living in a sleepy back-water town in North Florida but moving *(soon) to the DC metro area once I finish renovating our 100 year old cracker mansion.
This is an example of a wordpress page, a static, non-chronological post which, like static pages in Joomla allow you to publish content outside of categories. Useful for things like; terms, authors, privacy and abouts..
