nullrouted. geek for oops, my bad!

nullroutedSorry about the frustrating absence yesterday. Seems our ever vigilant tech-folks at site5 decided to pursue a resident spammalar on a neighboring server and wound up blocking our IPs’ unintentionally in the heat of the chase.

The support ticket dialog between us and “tech” over the last 24 hours reads more like an Abbott and Costello episode *(Who’s on first?) but, amidst the English as an elective-language discourse we were graciously thrown a technical bone towards the end.

“Sorry for the delay, the IP had been nullrouted by the datacenter due to a fraud site located at the IP, this has been dealt with and the datacenter should be removing the nullroute shortly.”

I’m not sure if the exhausted, overworked/underpaid blade-tech Colombo at our rack-farm got his/her hands rulered for the error but I did learn from our ever polite support-center that the weather in Downtown Nepal yesterday was just a bit warmer than Hell in Springtime.

I was a bit hard on `em a couple of weeks back but in their defense, their “top-tier” customer service does rock. You’ve just got to be persistent. :-)

Thanks for Mojoblog. This looks really impressive.
