A few weeks back I mentioned that we were a few days away from releasing our newest plugin for mojo; mojoPUB (a pretty URL/SEF renderer) which we feel is a no-brainer, must have plugin/mosbot for mojo. Obviously we haven’t yet and here’s why.

Though I feel confident the few minor issues and incompatibilities we’re hearing about in the forums between mojoBlog and Joomla are just that.. minor, We’ve been keeping our pencils sharp, taking notes and trying to find/develop compliant fixes to these issues.

During this time, it’s become clear that the best direction to take is to introduce a new point release of mojoBlog that addresses most of the current “insufficient permissions” problems, and improves compatibility with other popular joomla components like community builder and fireboard.

So, though we’re putting a temporary hold on the mojoPUB until after we release mojoBlog0.16, here’s a brief list of the fixes and features you’ll find in our christmas release.

Upcoming mojoBlog0.16 release

In addition to latent bug-repairs, code updates and a bit of streamlining, 0.16 introduces the first few of many new features and functions from our short/long list of to-do’s for mojoBlog.

Administration Improvements
• MojoBlog Login/Logout/Cookie/Session control
• Enhanced support for multiple Blog authors
• Ability to include mambots in mojoBlog posts and pages
• Added cached pages On/Off/Purge menu to Dashboard
• Enhanced wp-backup, now exports as mySql or WordPress XML

Public View
• New “Default” mojoBlog themelette w/microformat support.
• Closer step towards full themelettes integration.
• New modules positions in mojoBlog component.
• Introduction of multiple language support (theme only currently)
