Back this time last month mashable ran an excellent article on all the good bits you’d ever want to make your blog sexy.
I’ve trolled the list numerous times since, still haven’t checked out all 300+ websites listed but, it’s on my todo list.
What’s this got to do with us mojoBloggers?
Well, for one.. we blog. For two, we’re kinda hoping other brave mojo souls who check out the mashable article might report back here and help us flesh out our compatible plugins forum and the new mojo swag forum where we’ll be adding reviews and notes on stuff that helps us blog better.
Mojo works like a charm. I was looking for a way to add Japanese characters to my website posts on my Joomla 1.0 site and thought I had to wait for 1.5, with it’s utf-8 database collation. But with Mojo working, I reinstalled the WordPress DB tables from a fresh download of 2.3.1, activated the utf-8 conversion plug-in for the database tables, and was able to publish Japanese characters without a hitch.
It’s a great solution for blogging in Joomla and for getting utf-8 capability before 1.5 is stable.
