mojoBlog support
Thanks for all the fish..
While the evolution of mojoBlog from a buggy-beta slowly metamorph’s into a stable blog-component alternative for legacy joomla 1.0.15 and a8e-dev users we want to thank all our joomlify.com members who’ve contributed in our mojoblog development forums, asking questions, posting bugs and offering solutions.
With your participation and support we’re all the more committed to push mojoblog through buggy into stable (0.20) beta by 3rd quarter of 2008.
mojoBlog turns 0.17 soon..
Though seemingly quiet around the mojoBlog camp the last few weeks, we’ve have been steadily working through the current 0.16 bug-list (with the help of Lorenz Meyer, David Camp, Toole Bouche and many other folks who’ve graciously donated their time and effort) and adding features (multi-language capabilities, themelettes, etc..), enhancements (mojo-meta plugin, etc.) to the collective mojo.
We hope to release our latest, mojoBlog 0.17 around the third week of July, yes.. 2008!
mojo flip floppin’..
I mentioned back in May that we were going to -only- push mojoBlog release announcements and news through this channel but, as it happens, we’ve changed our mind, again.
As our user-base grows so have our server resources. Currently, as of July 2008 joomlify.com consumes an average of 6-10 gigabytes of bandwidth each month. In the scheme of things, this isn’t a major issue but, we don’t see traffic declining so we’re shifting bits and making room as we continue to grow.
Joomlify.com will continue to be ground-zero for all things mojo (forums, faqs, files) but we’re creating a new demo site specifically for folks to view mojoBlog in the wild which will be found at: mojoblog.info . We should have mojoblog.info live over the next week or two, I’ll post another announcement here when we launch.
From mojoBlog 0.17 and on, we’ll be serving all dashboard feeds and feedburner RSS from there, leaving our blog here a little more open for topical posts and other joomlify related news and articles.
Support Contribute Thanks
Finally, we’d like to thank those of you who’ve donated a buck or three to our development and hosting costs (formally known as our buy a beer for the kitties fund). Light-hearted encouragement that’s truly helped offset our server rental and associated development costs over the last year.
A few months ago we were fortunate enough to find (and get accepted by) BuySellAds “an advertising marketplace for small to medium sized website owners/publishers.” whos advertisers have generously offset our current expenses in exchange for some rather prominent realestate, top of each page here on joomlify.com.
If you need brilliant, w3c compliant xhtml work created from your photoshop’d joomla layouts, we highly recommend either of our advertisers, they’re both fast, reliable and exceptionally easy to deal with. Oh, and we’ve got one slot available here on joomlify until they’re all sold out.
